Gavi Riserva Docg

One of the first Riserva designations claimed across the whole Gavi appellation. Grapes are harvested slightly overripe from the Madonnina vineyard, one of the estate's oldest, with vines averaging forty years, which gives the wine its complex aromatic notes. Straw yellow of varying intensity, with fine, delicate floral aromas typical of the Gavi area. Rich, dry and harmonious on the palate, pleasantly savoury with a persistent, warm finish. Fermented in small stainless steel tanks, the wine then rests a further six months in tank as the appellation requires, before at least six more months in bottle, a refinement process built to make it genuinely long lived.
